Barbara Bruce - Business Matters

In 2002 I became the President of the Show Low Chamber of Commerce. I continued to do three radio shows during that time and White Mountain Radio offered me the opportunity to do another on business issues. I invited the Pinetop Chamber to join me and I called the show "Business Matters."

The show grew in popularity as we invited chamber members to talk about their businesses and non-profits to showcase themselves. City 4 TV approached me about filming the show for television and we chose to enter into that relationship. Each week, City 4 TV would come to the radio station and film the radio show. It continued to grow in popularity. Then City 4 took the show to the Internet where it archives about 3 months of the shows. It continued in popularity until today, five and a half years later, it is the No. 1 show on City 4.

I left the Chamber in 2007 to go full time with White Mountain Radio, but I continue to host the show that I started in 2003. We now film/record the show at the City 4 Television Studios where they have made props and a setting just for this show. With cable available in the Snowflake-Taylor Area, I added that chamber to our panel and now we spotlight Pinetop-Lakeside, Show Low and Snowflake-Taylor Chambers of Commerce.

And, why do I continue to do this? You, guessed it, because BUSINESS MATTERS... and so do the wonderful people in this community that are part of those businesses.
